There is a lot of excitement as Vidya Balan is making her debut down South with the NTR biopic. She will be essaying the role of Basavatarakam, wife of legendary actor and politician N.T. Rama Rao.
Balakrishna, who is co-producing the movie, is playing his father NTR and he was the one who actually convinced Vidya Balan to be a part of the film.
Apparently, Vinya Balan is being paid around Rs. 01.5 crore to be a part of the film. A couple of weeks ago, when Vidya joined the shoot in Hyderabad, she was welcomed by the Balakrishna family and was presented a sari.
Earlier, director Teja was roped in to direct this venture. But, he opted out after having creative differences with Balayya. Later, Krish Jagarlamudi of Gautamiputra Satakarni fame was signed on to direct the film. It was also rumoured that actor Rana Daggubati was approached to play chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the biopic.
The biopic will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi since NTR was a popular figure across India in films and political circles. Being jointly produced by Balakrishna, Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati, the film will have music by MM Keeravani. The makers of the NTR biopic are eyeing to release the film on Sankranthi next year.
Murali Sharma who we have seen in films like Dabangg, ABCD 2, Dilwale, Golmaal Again, and many more, has been signed on to play a key role in NTR biopic. Murali Sharma recently took to Twitter and posted a picture with director Krish and wrote, “NTR Biopic. Day one, with the very sagacious and my dearest Krish Jagarlamudi. Thank you for having me on board as Aluri Chakrapani, so chuffed and thrilled.”
It is going to be one of the much-awaited biopics of next year. With such a buzz even before the shooting of the film went on floors, it is only leaving us excited to know what N. Balakrishna’s pet project has to offer to the audience.
