The trailer of Junglee starring Vidyut Jammwal has finally hit the net and this one is laced with loads of action, a dash of romance and a beautiful friendship between elephant Bhola and Raj (Vidyut Jammwal).

Directed by Chuck Russell, who also directed films like The Mask (1994) and The Scorpion King (2002), is all about Raj trying to fight the elephant poachers and the ivory smugglers.

“For the first time, I met Vidyut Jammwal, I could imagine no one else in this role. He has a charm & a good humour that is rarely combined with such physicality. In that way, it reminds me of meeting Dwayne Jhonson for the first time, for his leading role on Scorpion King.’ We bet being compared to Dwayne Jhonson has certainly boosted Vidyut’s performance in the movie.” stated Chuck Russell.

In all of this, we also get to meet the character essayed by Atul Kulkarni, who happens to be a poacher. Pooja Sawant as Shankara and Asha Bhat as Meera add the glamour quotient.

The protagonist of the movie is Bhola, a Thai elephant, and Vidyut Jammwal had to travel to Thailand to meet him and his existing owner to learn what elephant whispering really was.

“It was the most challenging thing I have done yet. A whisperer is someone who has a tacit conversation with an animal – you don’t say hey, you are so beautiful,” stated Vidyut.

The official synopsis of the movie reads, “Raj (Vidyut Jammwal) a vet in his thirties, lives in Mumbai and runs a flourishing veterinary clinic. He is a devoted Kalaripayattu martial artist who works hard and has all a man could want. Turn of events makes him visit his hometown after 10 years. A renowned elephant sanctuary where lives his father and childhood elephant friend, Bhola. The emotional homecoming soon turns into a revenge drama which exposes the underbelly of poaching racket that was flourishing in this quaint village. Raj and Bhola’s tender friendship, a bond forged in childhood, shows that they love just as fiercely as they fight the bad guys.”

Going by what one saw in the trailer, Junglee will have some jaw-dropping action sequences and breathtaking locations.

Produced by Vineet Jain, Junglee will be released on April 05, 2019, which will clash with John Abraham‘s spy thriller Romeo Akbar Walter.
