After teasing the fans with posters and loads of publicity stills, the trailer for 2.0, which is touted to be the most expensive Indian project ever, has finally arrived and boy this one is a cracker.

Directed by S. Shankar, the film is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot), which starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan alongside Rajinikanth. In 2.0 we can see Chitti (Rajinikanth) take on Doctor Richard / Crowman (Akshay Kumar).

Rajinikanth as scientist Doctor Vaseegaran and Chitti are back in this sequel. Cellphones across the country become puppets of a crow man, who is out to kill every person who uses phones by using the same device. This leads to Vaseegaran to investigate the incident. Once he realizes the extent of damage the Fifth Force can do, Chitti stands up against him. Soon, the evil scientist comes face to face with Chitti, version 2.0, and a huge battle takes place.

One shot in the trailer could be the reason why the Fifth Force evolves so rapidly; it shows a man staring up and walking aimlessly. He seems to be looking at a cell phone tower and this could be the beginning of why the world needs Chitti.

Once again S. Shankar has proved that no one can handle technology as he can. The film looks technically wow and the special effects are to die for.

Amy Jackson plays the role of a humanoid-assistant to Vaseegaran, who seems to fall in love with Chitti. The film’s cinematography is by Nirav Shah and its music by A.R. Rahman.

All in all, the film not only is technically sound but has loads of wow elements. I am sure this one will set the Boz Office on fire.

2.0 which has been made on a mammoth budget of Rs 600 crores, has been produced by Lyca Productions. The film, made in Tamil, will also simultaneously release in Telugu and Hindi. Starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar the film slated to release on November 29. 2018.
