Actor Aju Varghese who posted the picture on his Facebook page with the comment Akka with Ikka, which means sister with brother in English, had to take it down later when the comments mocking both Sunny Leone and Mammootty and especially anti-women slurs became too many.
The trolling is surprising since Sunny Leone’s visit to Kochi two years ago had brought to the spot an incredibly large number of fans, blocking roads and traffic for hours.
Madura Raja, an action entertainer, is being directed by Vysakh. He has scripted the film in association with Uday Krishna. The film is a sequel to Mammootty’s and Prithviraj’s 2010 film Pokkiri Raja. The latter is expected to be seen in a cameo in the sequel. The first look poster had recently been released, with Mammootty wearing a white dhoti and shirt and wielding a weapon.
Vysakh made his debut as a director with Pokkiri Raja in 2010. The film, which also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, was one of the top-grossing films in Malayalam that year. Later, he went on to make several other commercial entertainers. But, he caught his big break with superstar Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan in 2016.
Besides Mammootty and Sunny, Jai, Siddique, Aju Varghese, Anna Rajan, Anusree, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayaraghavan, Salim Kumar, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bala, Bijukuttan, and Manikuttan will also be seen essaying promient roles in this film.
In the meantime, Mammootty has just wrapped up the Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy biopic Yatra, in which he plays the iconic leader and late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Y.S. Rajasekara Reddy. Yatra is produced jointly by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devi under the banner of 70MM Entertainments. It will be released in Telugu as well as Tamil and Mammootty will be dubbing for both the versions.
As far as Sunny Leone is concerned, well this will be the first time that she will be seen in a Malayalam film. Sunny, a former adult star, is also working on another multilingual called Veeramadevi, which will mark her debut in Malayalam, and another Malayalam movie called Rangeela.
