Sonali Bendre is battling cancer with her head held high. She took to Instagram to share a heartwarming post on Friendship Day, where she expressed her gratitude for her friends who have been her pillars of strength during this difficult time.
Sharing a picture with her friends Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Joshi Oberoi taken by Hrithik Roshan, Sonali wrote:
“This is me, and at this moment, I am really happy. People give me strange looks when I say that now, but it’s true and I’ll tell you why. I am now paying attention to every moment, looking for every opportunity to find joy and Switch On The Sunshine. Yes, there are moments of pain and low energy, but I am doing what I like, spending time with people I love, and feeling very loved and happy. I am extremely grateful to my friends, my pillars of strength, who at a moment’s notice, arrived to be with me and help me through this. In between their busy schedules, they find time to visit, call, message, FaceTime. Basically never leaving a moment for me to feel alone. Thank you for showing me what true friendship is. Happy Friendship Day, ladies. Blessed to have you all in my life, including the ones not in the picture. You know who you are.”
Sometime last month, Sonali Bendre left her fans shocked when she announced that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment for the same in New York, with her husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer by her side.
Sonali has even shared the dilemma she and her husband Goldie faced while breaking the news of her cancer to their 12-year-old son. However, it looks like their fears were unfounded, as Ranveer displayed maturity beyond his years and instantly became a source of strength and positivity for Sonali.
Here’s wishing Solani a speedy recovery.
