Selena Gomez has stated that she follows several Indian musicians and that A.R. Rahman’s music caught her fancy the most.
In a recent interview to a leading publication, the singer who turns 26 tomorrow (July 22, 2018), stated that she had been following several Indian musicians and she believed that they are wonderful. She added that it was A.R. Rahman’s music which caught her fancy the most.
She expressed her desire to collaborate with the Oscar-winning composer and that it had been on her wish list. “I like A.R. Rahman’s work. He is a global figure today. I would love to sing or be part of his compositions. I think it would be beautiful to sing for a Bollywood movie.” stated the songstress.
Having shot to fame with Roja and making his mark in the Tamil and Hindi film industries, A.R. Rahman came into international limelight when he won two Oscars in 2009 – one for the best original score and for the best original song, both for Slumdog Millionaire.
On the personal front, Selena Gomez is all set to turn 26. This time last year she was in the middle of a health crisis with her kidney transplant, but had loving boyfriend The Weeknd, 28, around for support.
However, this year she has her health, but not a guy. And she won’t be getting any birthday wishes from her ex, who is back with Bella Hadid, 21.
Apparently, The Weeknd, will not be sending Selena flowers this weekend for her birthday, nor will he send her a happy birthday text or anything like that. Things are going well again, finally, for The Weeknd and the stunner Bella Hadid, and the musician does not want to jeopardize her trust by sending his ex-girlfriend anything that could be seen as inappropriate or disrespectful to Bell. They even have not spoken to each other of a while now.
