Mika Singh is now looking for Savi’s number because he wants to help him in whatever way he can.
“Hey guys please find me Savi Sidhu’s number, I really would love to help him. At times it’s so difficult to understand our industry. We show so much love and fake smiles, but Bhai when you see your brother or friend in times of need then please support yaar,” tweeted Mika Singh.
Anurag Kashyap, who has worked with Savi Sidhu in three films, wrote a series of tweets appreciating Savi’s courage and struggle.
“There are so many actors out there who don’t have work. I respect Savi Sidhu as an actor and have cast him thrice when he earned the role. I respect him that he chose to live his life with dignity and picked a job unlike so many entitled out of work actors who have either become alcoholics or wasted themselves away, become alcoholics or wasted themselves away. Nawaz used to be a watchman, I used to be a waiter, I met one actor who sells bhelpuri on streets, I know an actor from Black Friday who drives a rickshaw, the lead from Salaam Bombay used to do the same.” he wrote.
For people who still do not know about Savi Sadhu, well, he has featured in films like Black Friday (2007), Gulaal (2009), and Patiala House (2011), has been trending after his interview to Film Companion.
Savi Sidhu is currently employed as a watchman at Mayfair Legends Alpha Cooperative Housing Society Limited, a building in Mumbai’s Parel and in the video, he says, he had to take a break from acting due to his deteriorating health.
We do hope that all this positively translates into acting opportunities for Savi Sidhu.
