With less than two weeks left for the wedding, the pre-wedding festivities have already begun with much fanfare. Deepika went to Bangalore for the Nandi Puja at her parent’s residence. Yes, the festivities have already started with a lovely puja at Deepika’s hometown Bangalore.
Two pictures of Deepika that went viral on the internet were from the Nandi puja, where she can be seen wearing lovely orange-coloured suit. Deepika’s stylist Shaleena Nathani and hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou shared the glimpses from the puja.
However, the latest update on the wedding is that on November 14, 2018, the two will have a traditional Konkani style wedding, as Deepika belongs to the Saraswat Brahmin community from Karnataka and her mother tongue is Konkani. The next day, on November 15, 2018, a Sindhi wedding ceremony will follow, given Ranveer’s roots. On November 16, 2018, the guests will fly back home.
The couple will be hosting two receptions, one in Mumbai and the other one in Bengaluru. Though in the announcement the venue and destination are not revealed yet.
Ranveer and Deepika started seeing each other after their film, Goliyon Ke Rasleela Ram Leela. Deepika Padukone who was recently on Koffee With Karan along with Alia Bhatt had confessed to Karan Johar that she was dating Ranveer from the past six years.
On October 21, 2018, the couple posted their wedding announcement on Instagram and Twitter. The announcement read, “With the blessings of our families, it gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November, 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. – Lots Of Love, Deepika And Ranveer”
