Kapil Sharma and Ginni’s reception ensemble was designed by Rimple and Harpreet Narula. While Kapil wore a classic black silk sherwani which he paired with a pair of slim cut pants, his lady love Ginni donned a gorgeous lehenga which was an ode to an archival 18th century European Chintz textile.

Punjabi brides, as well as grooms for that matter, have a deep-rooted sense of pride and love for the rich cultural heritage of the region and are keen on imbibing the same in their wedding trousseau. Kapil and Ginni were a pleasure to dress.” stated designer Rimple Narula.
Kapil’s reception in Mumbai was held at the JW Marriot. This gala night was attended by Anu Malik, Bejan Daruwala, Manoj Bajpayee, Kailash Kher, Harbhajan Singh, Bharti Singh, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Kriti Sanon, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Kiku Sharda, Farah Khan, Sonu Sood, Aparshakti Khurana, Karan Johar, Archana Puram Singh, Rekha, Jonny Lever, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Salim Khan, Sohail Khan, Saina Nehwal, Kartik Aaryan, Rahul Mahajan, Shekhar Ravjiani, Vicky Kaushal, and many more.
Kapil married his long-time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath as per Hindu and Sikh customs in Jalandhar, Punjab on December 12, 2018, followed by an Anand Karaj ceremony. Post that, they threw a wedding reception on December 14, 2018, in the city for their near and dear ones.
Apparently, al the excess food from all the functions in Amritsar and Jalandhar were given away to an NGO called Feeding India.
On the professional front, Kapil Sharma is set to make a much-awaited comeback on television with The Kapil Sharma Show. The show starts on December 29, 2018, and will have Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, and Sara Ali Khan promoting their film Simmba.
