India’s Got Talent Season 08 has finally got its winner and he is none other than the magician Javed Khan.
Yes, Javed Khan has been announced as the winner of the season and he could not believe his luck on taking home the winning trophy. The 27-year-old had a tie with Live 100 Experience Band in the final stage. But with more votes coming his way, he was awarded the trophy, the prize money, and a car.
Besides Javed and the Live 100 Experience Band, the top five finalists were Almas Khan, Rahul and Mukesh and Crazy Hoppers.
Hailing originally from Rajasthan, Javed grew up in Mumbai. His father is an auto-rickshaw driver, while his mother an housewife. In fact, it was on his mother’s insistence that he was admitted to an English-medium school. After finishing his studies, Javed worked as an engineer in an IT-firm.
His stint with magic came when he was facing depression after his marriage was called off. Javed Khan’s alliance was fixed when he was only a kid. He was still in college when the girl’s parents started pressurising him to tie the knot.
Taking a stand, he asked for time but in return, but they called off the relationship. If this was not enough, his to be in-laws even accused Javed of being romantically involved with someone. But then as they say every dark cloud has a silver lining.
Javed in this low phase of his life got interested in magic, self-taught himself by watching videos online. However, his parents initially were not in support of his new-found interest. Even his neighbours would warn his mother to keep him away from their children.
Interestingly, it was Javed’s mother who unintentionally suggested him to participate in the reality show. Javed took her advice seriously and participated in India’s Got Talent just to get the honour of his parents back and boy he did it with great aplomb.
Javed Khan was a front-running from the word go and this victory does not come as a surprise to everyone how has followed the show.
