Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee marked the 20th anniversary of his brand and to make the day even more special he unveiled a new collection, Kashgaar Bazaar in collaboration with the French designer house, Christian Louboutin.

Kashgaar Bazaar collection lies close to the designer’s heart as this was his maiden collection as a graduate which was inspired by nomads and his imagination of silk route. During the fashion show, Sabyasachi displayed an exclusive collection of shoes and handbags.

There are a couple of reasons why label Sabyasachi has its own identity and is incredibly hard to replicate. The primary being Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s prolific understanding of design; be it layering prints with sheer overlays and then adding a third layer with surface techniques or his strong use of colour, or perfecting the silhouette between sexy and modest, he thinks of it all.

What the designer has also derived from years of being in the business is that icons are created by repeating what works for your brand’s identity.

As expected, the uniquely designed set for the show had celebrities on front rows including Isha Ambani Piramal, Alia Bhatt, Jhanvi Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, Ananya Pandey, Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kalki Koechlin, Anurag Kashyap and Natasha Poonawalla.

At the gala, Alia Bhatt looked stunning in a green printed ruffled and belted sari. She kept her look simple except for the big chandelier earrings that added a glam factor to her outfit. Alia Bhatt went for a nude make-up look and had tied her hair back.

On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor went in for a western look and wore a bright red sheath dress with floral detailing. Janhvi exuded charm as she posed for the shutterbugs at the party. She paired her dress with nude pumps and left her hair loose and wavy around her shoulders.

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar too walked in and posed together for photos at the bash. While Farhan opted for a grey blazer and white t-shirt paired with striped trousers, Shibani Dandekar was chic in sheer ruffled trousers, a black lace top and a black blazer.

We at Majja would like to wish Sabyasachi Mukherjee many congratulations and we wish to see many more such creations of label Sabyasachi.
