While Dipika Kakar walked away with the Bigg Boss 12 trophy and the prize money of Rs. 30 lakh, Sreesanth was adjudged the first runner-up. Deepak Thakur was the second runner-up, Romil Chaudhary the third runner-up and Karanvir Bohra the fourth runner-up.
The top three contestants – Dipika, Sreesanth and Deepak – were given the chance to leave the finale with a chunk of the prize money. Deepak Thakur did the right thing and hit the buzzer to claim Rs. 20 lakh from the prize money, which is the biggest exit money across all seasons of Bigg Boss.
Dipika entered the house a few months into her marriage. Before entering, she had mentioned that it was a collective decision taken by her and husband Shoaib Ibrahim because they have a lot of responsibilities to fulfil.
Her journey in the Bigg Boss 12 house was full of up’s and down. While most of the housemates saw her bond with the Sreesanth as a weakness, she was unapologetically but it and proudly accepted the fact that she was able to make such a strong bond with Sreesanth in the house.
The Bigg Boss finale also saw Simmba director Rohit Shetty make a grand entry. He was there to promote his show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 09 which replaces Bigg Boss.
Bigg Boss 12 kick-started with Salman Khan returning to host the show in September this year and wrapped with the finalists surviving 105 days inside the house. Bigg Boss is a show that has been loved for its entertainment quotient. However, Season 12 did not manage to grab eyeballs like the other seasons.
All said and done, this season has come to an end and Salman Khan has promised to come back with the next nine month from now. So till then do whatever you want to and see you next year.
