It's extravagant, it's visually wow and it's high on emotions, well, I am talking about The Lion King which has hit the silver screens today.
As we all know The Lion King is all about the royal lion cub, Simba is born to Queen Sarabi and King Mufasa, who rule Pride Lands of Africa.
All the animals in the forest rejoice at having a new heir. But their joy is short-lived when Mufasa dies trying to save little Simba's life. Feeling guilty for being the cause of his father's death Simba runs away from the forest. And now his evil uncle Scar takes over the throne.
The Lion King is a live-action remake of the 1994 original animation that has become an iconic film and is a treat. The film has a huge emotional quotient and is laced with a haunting soundtrack.
What's striking about this one is the fact that every character has a unique personality. Needless to say, the film is a visual treat.
The 2019 version of Lion King has been up in four languages - English, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu, and that's what I think is a huge draw.
From Donald Glover to Beyonce Knowles-Carter, Chiwetel Ejiofor to John Oliver, the English version has the who's who from Hollywood.
The Hindi dubbed version has already garnered a lot of attention as Shah Rukh Khan is the voice for Mufasa, while Aryan Khan as dubbed for Simba.
All in all The Lion King brought back a lot of childhood memories and I had a blast watching this one. Also, the new generation who haven't seen the 1994 classic are sure to get entranced.
Directed by Jon Favreau, written by Jeff Nathanson, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures, The Lion King (2019) is a film that I am sure will have a huge connect with all the moviegoers. The Lion King is too big a brand to fail and it will set the Box Office ablaze.
Do catch this one cause this film has the power to bring a smile on your lips and a tear in your eyes.
