YouTube sensation, Lilly Singh, becomes the first Indian woman to host a late-night show, titled, A Little Late With Lilly Singh.

Lilly Singh will be taking over Carson Daly's 01:30 am slot on NBC, making her one of the very few women hosts of a late-night talk show on a broadcast network.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh will see her hold celebrity interviews, as well as feature pre-taped comedy skits, and other elements. The show will begin airing from September of this year.

She will be an executive producer on the show and will be the only woman with a late-night show on one of the so-called Big Four broadcast networks.

Lilly made the official announcement about her show while appearing on another late-night show, The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and later went on to share the news via an emotional Instagram post.

And not only did I get to announce this dream come true on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon but Seth Meyers came out and surprised me as well! I am so grateful and overwhelmed to be joining this incredible family. I'm numb. I can't even process. This has been so long in the making and I'm so happy I can finally share this with you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! There are so many people to thank and I will do so over the next few or hundred posts. Watch the segment live at 11:30 pm EST! And now it's time to work. It's time to make magic. It's time to hustle harder than ever before. Blessings." read her post.
