Sairat director Nagraj Manjule, who is currently busy with Jhund starring Amitabh Bachchan, is all set to host the next season of Kon Honaar Crorepati, which is the Marathi version of Kaun Banega Crorepati hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
The director himself shared the first promo featuring him, on his Facebook page. Since then the excitement very high and people can't wait for the show to start.
"Nagraj is best suitable as the host for this show. While launching the show Kon Honaar Crorepati on Sony Marathi, the first thought we had in mind was, we want a fresh face," stated Ajay Bhalwankar, Business Head, Sony Marathi, Sony Pictures Networks India.
"The special thing about this show is that it connects well with the common men and they participate in the show with a hope to realise their dreams. While Manjule is known for giving a break to new faces through his films and has always found a hero out of the common man, that is the connect he has with people," added Ajay.
Sachin Khedekar had hosted the first two seasons of the show, while Swapnil Joshi served as its host for season three. The show as titled Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati and was on E-TV Marathi for the first two seasons and then season three was on Colors Marathi.
Meanwhile, a major chunk of the National Award winning direct's next, Jhund, produced by Bhushan Kumar, has been shot in Nagpur and it was during the ongoing shoot of Jhund in Nagpur that the director was offered the show.
Amitabh Bachchan has been an idol to him since his school days and now that the director will be seen interacting with the contestants, he will indeed take some tips from Mr Bachchan.
