It's gritty, it's intense and it has John Abraham, well, I am talking about the trailer of Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) which has just hit the net.
In Romeo Akbar Walter, we get to meet John Abraham who is a young man recruited to be a spy during the India - Pakistan war of 1971. He is willing to do anything for his country provided his mother is well looked after. As the trailer progresses, we see John essaying three different characters - Romeo, Akbar, and Walter. Based on the true events, the film captures the emotions of patriotism and love for the country perfectly.
Based on true events, Romeo Akbar Walter brings alive the story of a true patriot, a forgotten hero, a man of many faces and names who lived for one and only one purpose is it to serve his country.
The trailer is stuffed with emotion, action and loads of drama. We also get to meet Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff, and Sikander Kher. Not much is shown about them, but I am sure there would be loads to look forward to.
John Abraham had earlier revealed that he will be seen sporting about eight looks in the film. Shedding some more light on the same, he had said, "I do have eight different looks in the film. The effort that goes into giving me those looks is immense. It's time-consuming but completely worth the effort. There's a cast that they create to give me the desired get-up. I play everything from a 26-year-old man to an 85-year-old and this is probably the most challenging role of my life. I've realised that today's cinema is about facing challenges. It's not about showing great disco dance moves in a project. I get good nervous energy when I am prepping for a difficult film and RAW is in that space."
All in all, the trailer belongs to John Abraham, but my heart goes out to Alka Amin, who essays the role of his mother. Shot primarily shot in Kashmir, I am sure the film will live up to its tagline that says, Our Hero, Their Spy.
Slated to hit the theatrical screens on April 05, 2019, Romeo Akbar Walter is helmed by Robbie Grewal and bankrolled by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, VA Film Company and Red Ice Production.
