The trailer of Tigmanshu Dhulia's Milan Talkies has finally hit and net and this one takes us back in time. Set in Allahabad between around 2010-2013 when single-screen theatres were still prominent and film print was still in circulation, this one is a love story where a film shoot become a means to unite a couple.

In this film, Ali Fazal is a man working in the projection room of a single screen theatre in Allahabad and dreams of becoming a director of a calibre of K. Asif (Mughal-E-Azam) and Yash Chopra (Deewar).

In walks, his love interest, debutant Shraddha Srinath, and thus starts a love story in the backdrop of a film, which is being directed by the character Ali Fazal is essaying.

We also get to meet Tigmanshu Dhulia, who is essaying the role of Ali Fazal's father and some key characters who take the narrative of this trailer forward.

Ali Fazal who was last seen in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2018), is very excited about this film and states, "Milan Talkies is a very special film for me. It was a great experience working on this film with Tigmanshu Sir and the entire team. The reaction for the trailer is overwhelming and I can?t wait to show the film to the audience. I strongly believe that there is something very earnest and honest about the film. Eventually, it's the audiences who decide good and bad. Milan Talkies is a story about stories and told from the grassroots of a common projectionist in a single screen theatre."

However, for its Shraddha Srinath who caught my attention. She looks confident and fresh. The girl makes her presence felt in this trailer and I am looking forward to seeing her in the film.

All in all, Milan Talkies does have an old-time charm and the song that plays in the background through the trailer is to die for.

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by P. S. Chhatwal, Filmy Keeda Productions, Milan Talkies stars Ali Fazal, Shraddha Srinath, Ashutosh Rana, Sikander Kher as well as Tigmanshu Dhulia.

The film is set to release on March 15, 2019.
