The 91st Academy Awards are just around the corner and the anticipation regarding the star-studded show is at its peak. With films like A Star Is Born, First Man and Roma termed as front-runners for the Best Picture, Oscars 2019 will be an interesting watch.

This year's Academy Awards is in news more for its share of controversies than for its content. After the exit of Kevin Hart from the show as the Oscars 2019 host, there were reports about how out of the best five song nominees, only two would be performing on the night.

However, the Academy recently dispelled the rumours with its recent tweets announcing that in fact, all the nominees would get a chance to steal the spotlight for some time.

In a tweet, the Academy declared that the lead pair of the film, A Star Is Born, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will be crooning their track Shallow from the film.

In another post, the Academy tweeted, that along with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings to will take centre stage and would sing When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings from The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs.

We still have a couple of weeks left for the gala and I am sure there would be some more additions.

The 91st Academy Awards ceremony, presented by The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences (AMPAS), is set to honour the best films of 2018. As always it will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California on February 24, 2019.

During the ceremony, The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences will present the awards in 24 categories. The ceremony that will be televised in the United States by American Broadcasting Company (ABC), is being produced by Donna Gigliotti and Glenn Weiss, with Glenn Weiss also serving as director.

With no host appointed yet, it is set to be the first ceremony in three decades, since the 61st Academy Awards in 1989, to be conducted with no host.
