Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to introduce new faces in Bollywood in his next productional venture titled as Malaal. The film will mark the debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece Sharmin Sehgal and Javed Jaffrey's son Meezaan Jaafrey in Bollywood.

Set in the heart of Maharashtra, Malaal is an intense love story between Shiva Morey (Meezaan Jaffrey) and Astha Tripathi (Sharmin Segal). In all of this, we also get to meet a local politician, the role which is being essayed by Sameer Dharmadhikari. 

Shiva is a Maharashtrian, who hates outsiders settling in Mumbai, while Astha, is a North Indian who comes to live in the same chawl as him. This is something that Shiva is not too happy about.

While the trailer of the film showcases a love story that will not only tug your heart-strings but will also redefine love for you. 

Of the two, Meezaan is a star to watch out for. He is intense and will be someone who will make his mark. As far as Sharmin is concerned, well, she reminds me of Saiyami Kher.

Directed by Mangesh Hadawale, who made his directorial debut in 2008 with Marathi film Tingya, which received immense commercial and critical acclaim. Dekh Indian Circus (2011), his second film was in Hindi and was awarded the National Film Award for Best Children's Film.

Mr Bhansali has reportedly been personally mentoring the two newbies since the last few months and ensured they are kept away from the media glare as he wanted them to be a surprise package for the audience.

Besides Malaal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is also working on Inshallah, starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt. Inshallah brings the actor-director duo together after a gap of almost two decades after they delivered the blockbuster Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is 1999.

Malaal which was slated to release on June 28, 2019, earlier has now been postponed to July 05, 2019.
