The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has earlier January 05, 2020, as the date for the Golden Globe 2020 gala and now they have come out with the key dates for the 2020 gale.

July 15, 2019: Submission website for 2020 Golden Globes motion picture and television entries now open

October 25, 2019: Deadline for submission of Golden Globes motion picture and television entry forms

November 14, 2019: Deadline for television nomination ballots to be mailed to all HFPA members by Ernst & Young

November 25, 2019: Deadline for receipt of television nomination ballots by Ernst & Young, at 05:00 p.m.

November 26, 2019: Deadline for motion picture nomination ballots to be mailed to all HFPA members by Ernst & Young

December 04, 2019: Final screening date for motion pictures

December 05, 2019: Final date for motion pictures press conferences

December 06, 2019: Deadline for receipt of motion picture nomination ballots by Ernst & Young, at 12 noon

December 09, 2019: Announcements of nominations for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards, at 5 a.m

December 19, 2019: Final ballots mailed to all HFPA members by Ernst & Young

December 30, 2019: Deadline for receipt of final ballots by Ernst & Young, at 5 p.m

January 05, 2020: Presentation of the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards

The ceremony will air live on NBC from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on January 05, 2020. Nominations will be announced on December 09, 2019. Year 2020 will be the second Globes show covered as part of a new eight-year deal with NBC.

The 76th Golden Globe Awards held on January 07, 2019, witnessed all the diverse men and women take home trophies in a proud evening which turned slightly surprising when Bohemian Rhapsody and its lead star Rami Malek were declared as the Best Motion Picture (Drama) and the Best Actor, respectively.

The biographical film about the British rock band Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, beat out Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, If Beale Street Could Talk and the hot favourite A Star Is Born.

The Golden Globes, more than any other major awards show, has seen the smallest drop in viewership over recent years. The Globes are viewed in more than 220 countries and territories worldwide and include both Motion Picture and Television Awards.
