Deepika Padukone has finally being waxed at the prestigious Madame Tussauds, London museum. Yes, our very own Bollywood diva unveiled her wax statue at London's Madame Tussauds in presence of Ranveer Singh, parents Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone and in-laws Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani.
Needless to say, but Deepika Padukone's wax statue looks stunning and is donning the gorgeous cape lehenga that she donned at the IIFA Awards 2016 in Madrid.
Sharing this special moment with her fans, Deepika Padukone went live on Instagram form Madame Tussaud itself along with her wax statue.
During a live session, Deepika spoke about her wax figure. She said, "It's an amazing feeling, to be honest. It's fun and exciting. And in a way, I think I feel a lot of gratitude as well when you give back to your fans."
For Deepika, unveiling her wax statue was like going back in time. "It's a nostalgic moment in a way because the first and last time I ever went there was as a little girl with my family. Just yesterday when we were having lunch together, my mother said that she came here 35 years ago and she never imagined that she will have a daughter who will someday make it to the Madame Tussauds. We are here together as a family and it feels surreal." stated the actor glowing with pride.
In one of the videos, now being circulated on social media by fan clubs, Ranveer can be heard saying: "Can I take her home", while Deepika is heard saying, "Now when you're here shooting for 83 and miss me, you can always come here."
Deepika Padukone had met the team of experts at Madame Tussauds in July last year and at that time she had said in a statement: "I am so delighted. The sitting with the team of experts was a special experience and I look forward to the incredible figure at the attraction."
Deepika also hit headlines late last year thanks to her extravagant wedding to Ranveer in Lake Como in mid-November. The pair reportedly started dating in 2013 but have kept details of their relationship largely out of the public eye.
On her work front, Deepika is currently working on Meghna Gulzar's next directorial, Chhapaak. The biographical drama is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and will feature Vikrant Massey in a vital role. The movie will also mark Deepika's debut as a producer.
Quite the exciting time for Deepika, she is also one of the 14 cover girls for Vogue's April issue, which celebrates 14 stars from 14 different countries.
