Mahesh Babu unveiled his wax statute which was flown all the way from Madame Tussauds, Singapore and placed in AMB Cinemas, Hyderabad.
Mahesh Babu took on to his social media account to express his joy and also thanked the team at Madame Tussauds, Singapore for this gesture.
"My first reaction was, Wow!!! Quite freaky in a way looking at another Me!! Can't get more real than this. Hats off to the artistry and detailing by the Madame Tussauds, Singapore team. It's unbelievably close to life." tweeted the superstar.
He then followed it up by another tweet and wrote: "Thanks a lot to Madame Tussauds, Singapore team for unveiling the figure in my own city and my country amidst my family, friends and fans. Extremely happy with the response and love, each one has showered on me. I'm very happy, overwhelmed and grateful."
Mahesh is the second Telugu actor after Prabhas to be immortalized in the form of a wax statue. Also, this was for the first time ever that Madame Tussauds organised an event outside its studio in Singapore. The event is said to be telecasted across all platforms.
The statue was flown from Singapore and placed in Mahesh Babu's AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad for a day until 06:00 pm. AMB Cinemas, a 7-screen superplex, is a joint venture between Mahesh and Asian Group, a leading film distribution company.
On this prestigious event, he was joined by his wife Namrata Shirodkar and kids Gautham and Sitara to unveil the statue in Hyderabad.
Also, through a few sketching contests and initiatives, a set of skilled fans will be selected on the basis of who draws the best artwork that can replicate Mahesh's wax statue. The fans will bag an opportunity to take selfies with the wax figure.
On the professional front, Mahesh Babu will be seen in his 25th film, Maharshi, opposite Pooja Hegde which is produced by Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies, PVP Cinema.
