Deepika Padukone made yet another splash as she walked the red carpet the second time around in a ruffled lime green Giambattista Valli gown with a train.
The Chhapaak star paired the bold gown with a floral headband which had a soft pink bow by Emily-London and nude sandals. The layered high-low skirt on the dress was a total masterpiece, with the train adding some extra drama with each step up the stairs.
Giambattista Valli is an Italian fashion designer. His collections, both ready to wear and Haute couture are presented annually during the Paris Fashion Week. His designs have been worn by actresses, models, and royalty including Sarah Jessica Parker, Hilary Swank, Demi Moore, Jessica Biel, Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Campbell, Doutzen Kroes, and many more.
Deepika herself took to her official Instagram account to reveal her red carpet look for the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and we are in love with her quirky ensemble. This attire proves one thing for sure that Deepika and tulle are a great combination. The image that she shared is captioned, "Living A Lime Green Life."
As expected the shutterbugs went ballistic as Deepika walked the red carpet to attend the Dolor Y Gloria (Pain And Glory) screening.
Pain And Glory is Pedro Almodovar's 21st film. This semi-autobiographical film is a rumination on cinema, love, relationships, pain and the merciless passage of time. The wonderful Antonio Banderas plays a filmmaker Salvador Mallo who hasn't created in a long time.
The film moves between personal memories of his childhood and present day when Salva is battling depression, back pain, a new fondness for heroin and loneliness. Pain and Glory is bittersweet. It's aching but not hopeless. At one point, I found myself tearing up. It's also visually stunning with lush colours and fluid transitions between memories, dreams and fantasy.
Coming back to Deepika, well, after making a strikingly impressive outing at the Met Gala 2019, Deepika Padukone dazzled at the red carpet of Cannes 2019 with a spectrum of silhouettes.
On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in the film, Chhapaak helmed by Meghna Gulzar. The film is all set to release on January 10, 2020.
The Cannes Film Festival 2019 kicked started on May 14, 2019, and will end on May 24, 2019.
