Nakuul Mehta and Niti Taylor starrer Ishqbaaaz (Star Plus) is set to go off air and will be replaced by Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, which promises to take forward the legacy of the long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus.
Recently, Ishqbaaaz underwent a generation leap and a drastic makeover, but as expected the show could not garner the same love and popularity that it did before the leap and that's why the makers have decided to wrap up the show.
All the characters of the show barring Nakuul Mehta who currently plays Shivaay Singh Oberoi and Annika Trivedi's son Shivaansh Singh Oberoi were not a part of the leap and that is one of the biggest reason for the show being pulled off air. Once the news of its female lead Surbhi Chandna not being a part of the show was confirmed, her fans went all out to protest against this decision and many even boycotted the show.
At first, Manjiri Pupala essaying the role of ACP Aditi Deshmukh was cast opposite Nakuul Mehta, but when the pairing didn't click, Niti Taylor was roped in as Mannat Kaur Khurana, a new character to add a twist to the story. However, all the effort has seemed to go in vain as the show ratings have not improved much by the change.
If all goes well, Ishqbaaaz will be going off-air on March 15, 2019, and will be replaced by Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, which is a spin-off show of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke stars Shaheer Sheikh as the male lead and he will be seen alongside Rhea Sharma.
To make things bigger and better, Badshah has been roped in to rap for the title track of the show and the entire team is currently shooting in the outdoor location of Bhuj, Gujarat.
As far as Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is concerned, well, the expectations are very high and we would like to wish the entire team all the luck!!
