From April 05, 2019 to April 11, 2019, to being pushed indefinitely, PM Narendra Modi, the biopic on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will now finally hit the theatres on May 24, 2019, after the Lok Sabha Election results are announced.

Producer Sandip Ssingh said, "As a responsible citizen, we respect the law of the country. After a lot of discussions and given the curiosity and excitement about the film, we have decided to release the film immediately after the Lok Sabha Election results which are going to be announced on May 23, 2019. We will now release our film on May 24, 2019"

The makers are relieved and are looking forward to promoting the film. As the polling ends on May 19, 2019, the makers will have four days to promote the film before its release.

"I hope now nobody will have any problem with the film and we are hoping for a smooth release," Sandip Ssingh.

Notably, the biopic on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stopped just a night before its scheduled worldwide release on April 11, 2019,  when the parliamentary polls kicked off. The Election Commission said any material which disturbed a level playing field wouldn't be allowed.

PM Narendra Modi narrates the life story of Narendra Modi from his childhood days to him becoming the prime minister of India. The film's release was stalled by the Election Commission just a day before its original release date.
Announcing the ban, the commission has stated, "Any biopic material in the nature of biography/hagiography sub-serving the purposes of any political entity or any individual entity connected to it, which is intended to, or which has the potential to disturb the level playing field during the elections, should not be displayed in electronic media including cinematograph during the operation of MCC."

The film has actor Vivek Anand Oberoi playing the titular role of Modi. Other cast members include Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Sengupta, Anjan Shrivastav, Yatin Karyekar, Ramakant Dayma, Akshat R. Saluja, Jimesh Patel and Darshan Kumaar.

Directed by Omung Kumar and co-produced by Ssingh, Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit, the film will traverse the journey of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi from his humble beginnings to becoming the Prime Minister Of India.
