From Star One to Life OK and finally Star Bharat, this television channel, part of Star India, was launched on August 28, 2017.

The channel was first launched as Star One, November 01, 2004 and was later rebranded as Life OK on December 18, 2011. It was once again rebranded on August 28, 2017, as Star Bharat.

However, if reports are to be believed that the channel has once again hit rock bottom. Shar Bharat has been heavily banking on shows like Kya Haal Mr Panchaal, Nimki Mukhiya, Radha Krishn and Savdhan India.

In all of this, Musakaan did show some promise, but then it was shortlived. Recently, Star Bharat launched shows, like Pyaar Ke Papad, Ek Thi Rani Ek Tha Raavan and last but not the least Sufiyana Pyaar Mera. All these three shows were supposed to be their big-ticket, but sadly all the three shows did not take off at all.

If one looks at the positioning of Star Bharat, well, it's all over the place and currently, the channel stands at number six, just one step above And TV.

Sadly, all the three shows have fallen flat. Now, in all of this, news coming in is that the channel has apparently stopped work on the already commissioned new shows, as the thought of re-strategizing its plan needs to be worked out first.

With work on new shows being put on hold, Star Bharat is gone into a retrospective mode and is re-looking at their strategy. If reports are to believed then Disney which now owns the Star Network might think on pulling the plug off the channel. To add to all this, Star Bharat, which was earlier a free-to-air channel is now put under the pay and subscriber list.

All in all, the way things looking, there is a major announcement coming soon and Disney could just pull the plugs on the channel.
